General Purpose

The goal of this site is to write about topics of interest ranging from:

• Business
• People Operations (HR)
• People/Data Analytics
• Personal Finance
• and More!

Some posts will be relevant to topics occurring in the news, while others will be more “How To” guides or cheat sheets. We believe sharing this information with others helps collect feedback and build on this knowledge. We plan on treating Koluit like it is a living/breathing thing and will continue to tweak posts and update them as we learn more.

The hope is as the site grows we will find what works (and what doesn’t) and continue to change based on what is working. But for now the plan is just to write about whatever interests us and go from there

Growing / Sharing Knowledge

This site will be used to share the knowledge we gain throughout our experiences. Hopefully by sharing them with others they will be able to learn something they did not know before. Sharing is encouraged. If you agree or disagree with something we post we are happy to hear. Nothing we are sharing is gospel and we would love to gain new perspectives on the topics we share.

One important motto we follow is “Never Stop Learning. Never Stop Growing.” While we might have some background in the topics we are writing about we would never call ourselves experts. Our hope is by writing about them we will force ourselves to learn more and get a stronger understanding for the topics we are talking about.

Another way we are growing knowledge is just learning how to blog in general. While we do not plant to write about our experiences Blogging, learning SEO and other topics related to running this site we would be happy to talk about this with others who are going through a similar experience. Or if you see some rookie mistakes please feel free to contact us and let us know.

Documentation

We believe it is important to have tools to refence when making decisions and hope that by writing we can continue to build and update these guidelines as we learn. We would like build these for our own personal use but if they can be useful for others, that would be even better. As this site grows we hope our toolkits and guides grow as well.

Practice Practice Practice!

Another more basic reason for starting this blog is to practice our writing skills. We are by no means writing gurus, so this is a great way to continue to build that skill.
