Q3 was rough on some of my goals, and I was a bit busy, so I have not had the chance to recap. I also dropped my phone in a lake…so there is that. One change I made during Q3 is having my phone backed up, so I do not lose data. Some of my goal tracking data was lost to the lake. RIP

Status Update
Health
My step goals have been unfairly hurt due to my phone being lost in a lake. I had steps tracked on my phone, but it was not backed up. So sadly my Health app only has my steps from August forward. I was doing well with my step goals in Q1-Q2 averaging on my last update at around 12k steps. Because I was just tracking the average and not total steps, I do not think there is any way to count that time. So I will be starting over with what I have recorded. I am still above the goal of 10k, but just barely, so this goal is not as safe as I initially thought.
I crushed the Daylio goal. It is already complete, and I have not missed a day in 2021. I still do not find this data to be super beneficial, so this might be something I either work to add more context to or stop doing next year.
I have caught up for the Drink water goal, but this one is on the fence about being accomplished. I need to work on it in Q4 to make sure I complete 260 days of 60oz.
Personal
I will most likely be able to complete this goal. I only need to read one more book, so this is reasonable to get done in the next few months.
I will not accomplish my blog post goal. Over the past few weeks/months, I have fallen off writing as much as I would have liked. I would like to write eight more blog posts by the end of the year (one per week as of today, November 11th, 2021). This still might be hard as the holiday season and end-of-year workload approaches, but this is still more attainable than completing twenty-six more by the end of the year.
I am still hoping to make another update to The Company dataset by the end of the year. This might be difficult as well with the holiday/end of year season approaching, but this is one of my bigger goals, and I think this can provide some long-term value for Koluit by giving me a data set to work with for other projects/blog posts.
Financial
My financial goals were all accomplished. The 401(k) is automated, so it will continue to grow. I am still striving to save more for the house goal. That being said, I can put these on the backburner and focus on other categories and goals that fell behind.
Need to Improve / Changes
Health
Now that I have lost the advantage I had at the start of this year for average steps, I believe I need to focus a little more on this goal to make sure I can give myself a little more breathing room.
I will also need to remind myself every day to accomplish my water goal.
Personal
As I said in my last post(s), I still have not completed the two books, but I can still accomplish this goal. This is one of those goals I could knock out in a day, so it is not as much of a concern.
I know I will not accomplish my blog post goal, but as I said above, I am still hoping to complete one post per week for the rest of the year.
There are no changes for The Company data updates. I believe this is something I can accomplish in December.
Financial
At this point, I do not think any changes are needed for these goals. The only difference is that I will now shoot for even higher amounts, but this will not be the priority with other goals that I have still not accomplished.
Summary
Losing my phone also set me back a bit. If I can accomplish seven of my eight goals, I think that would be a massive accomplishment for this year. Some of these goals are on the fence, but I am confident I can get them over the finish line.
