What We Will Accomplish

In this video, we will go over how to connect KNIME to Greenhouse Recruiting. This example will walk through setting up a Get Node in KNIME to get data from Greenhouse and then some basic transformations to make the data a little more readable.

Assumptions

  1. Access to Greenhouse API -Have access to Greenhouse API. This might seem obvious but if you do not have access to a Greenhouse tenant you will not be able to complete this process.
  2. Setup API Key – Create a key inGreenhouse that can then be used in this KNIME workflow.
  3. Granted the API access to all necessary data – Make sure that all data that you need access to from Greenhouse is granted when the API key is set up. If the API security does not have the right access, even with this set up Greenhouse will reject you from getting this information.
  4. Downloaded and set up KNIME – Have KNIME downloaded onto your computer. This guide will not walk through that process or downloading other extensions. There are many other sites or guides that provide that information.

Demo

Example Errors and Issues

  1. Greenhouse API Setup – Issues while setting up your API and security within Greenhouse.
  2. Incorrect or Missing Get Info – Mistyping or missing information while setting up the Get node in KNIME.
  3. Timeout Issue – The Get request might take to long and timeout. This TImeout time can be extended in the Get request node.
  4. JSON, XML, XPath, etc. – General lack of understanding or set up when it comes to JSON, XNO, XPath, or other technical tools in KNIME.
